This is the moment I have been waiting for a long time: planting the tomatoes in their final place in the greenhouse! And the amount of joy I’ve gotten from building and filling up the raised beds is immense. It’s almost amusing how much fun it’s been, haha. And although I had to rearrange the layout for the 100th time, and a window broke down in a rain storm, I am so satisfied with the results 🙂
So, here’s the process in pictures! ❤
Firstly, I rearranged and moved the raised beds around, then cleaned the bottoms, collected the stones, and cut and fit the fabric into the beds.

At this point, I prepared two raised beds in the greenhouse, a small one of 80x60x20cm and a bigger one twice that size, and these will be for the tomatoes (+ their companion plants).

The raised beds are filled up in two levels: the bottom and the soil.
1. Bottom: sticks and branches for helping with problems of overwatering, then compost, then natural fertilizers.
2. The rest: good garden soil.

And then comes the best part. Moving them plants in! ❤️ Both garlics (those germinated in water and those kept in the fridge) are there to protect the precious tomatoes from pesticides. The marigolds and basil are planted nearby to attract beneficial bugs and deter the ones that want to eat my veggies.

All in all, I am so happy how it turned out and hopefully the tomatoes will start growing better now. Not that they weren’t growing good before, just that now their roots have more space to spread out.
This was a mini post that I wanted to get out a week ago but I was just so busy traveling.
Cannot wait to get back to the greenhouse.
I think the time is going to be right for pumpkins and cucumbers next week ❤️
