Allow me to start off by introducing a few friends of mine who know how to brush up, wash up, and clean up. With great pleasure, please meet Mr. Steel Wire Brush, Mr. Car Wash Brush, and Mr. Pressure Washer. Without these guys, none of the cleaning could have been possible, nor would the results be as good as they were. These guys have made the greenhouse cleaning, or the first phase of Sprout & About, complete.
There was a moment when I thought I wouldn’t be saying that, but oh yes, I am saying it.

Today is the last day of March, and I can happily say that all the work done has been worth it. I have spent many days carrying, brushing, washing, fixing, scraping, rinsing, (wondering & questioning), singing, mumbling, wandering, and figuring things out. In the beginning, some challenges were getting the pressure washer working (because it is so darn powerful), but in the end, we managed to “hit the rhythm”, and the rest is history. Using the car wash brush with a long handle was such a good idea, too. The idea came to me while I was cleaning the glass with a sponge and a pink brush. Doesn’t sound too bad? Well, I think I had not yet mentioned that the greenhouse is 3 METER HIGH AND 8 METERS LONG. So, NO! A sponge and a brush were NOT an efficient idea. Mr. Car Wash Brush, on the other hand, was.
So a big shout out to these guys, I couldn’t have done it without you.

The process of cleaning the greenhouse went somewhat like I had planned and announced in a previous post (See here โค). Firstly, all the soil was removed, after which I tackled the moss and other bigger chunks of dirt. Then, I sprayed the soap with the pressure washer all around the greenhouse surfaces and cleaned it with the car wash brush. It is true that initially, I had not planned to use the Mr. and Mr. and Mr., but I am glad I did. The results are amazing.

During the washing, I was getting quite tired from the constant organizing and moving around this heavy equipment. All in all, I think I was spared from any major setbacks this time. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the army of spiders, growing in unimaginable numbers every day. I am consciously trying to make my peace with them, but just a humble question, is this a year of spiders or what?! Why are there so many of them… In the action, I also broke two glasses when accidentally hitting them too hard with the brush.
Anyhow, seeing the work of my hands after the hard work has made me feel like a champion and a capable person. It is such a pleasure looking at the greenhouse now and seeing the big difference – it’s clean! It is so bright and shiny!

Moving on, the signs of spring are everywhere ๐ You can hear the birds chirping, garden flowers pushing out, and butterflies flying around. Imagine how nice it has been working outside โค๏ธ

And while I was finishing up the general greenhouse cleaning, there were still a million other small things that I had been working on. Cleaning the other parts of the greenhouse, like the tiles that are inside and other surroundings takes quite a lot of time and heavy lifting.
About that, in another post!
